This past week was pretty good Bryan had from last Wednesday through yesterday off, so we got to do a couple of things
Before I get to this last weekend, the Friday before last, Bryan and I went to Jacksonville which is about 45 min away from us, to go shopping and out to dinner. We called some friends that moved there from Pensacola to see if they wanted to meet up somewhere. They didn't answer their phone so we decided just to go do something anyway. It was so exciting, we were driving to Checkers to grab a burger, when we drove by something that made me super hyper excited. There was a WING ZONE!!!! It is so awesome. Bryan introduced me to Wing Zone in Pensacola and I loved it. It has hot wings with 25 different flavors of wings and sauces, amazing cheese fries, and amazing chicken finger!! We thought that it was just a family owned business and was only down in P Cola (Bryan and I's abbreviation for Pensacola).
Anyways, Craig and Ashley called back after only after we got home. We didn't want to drive all the way back to Jacksonville so decided that we would call them the next Friday to see when and where we wanted to meet.
That Friday comes along and Ashley ends up calling us instead. They wanted to meet us here in Havelock. So they got here around six and we talked for a little bit before heading to El Cerro Mexican Restaurant. We ended up being there for about 2 hours or so, just talking. When she first got to the house. She said " You already have a pooch!" She was like, that's so cute. Later on, at the restaurant, I had to get up to go to the bathroom, she told Bryan that I was cute, because I have a little frame and a pooching belly. She said that I am going to be a cute pregnant lady. I don't think I am going to be!
Bryan went out yesterday for my first pregnancy craving run. I was really craving Subway and nothing else sounded good at all. I felt like if I ate anything other than that, that I would throw up. I am constantly hungry and when I am hungry, nothing sounds good. I am nauseas all the time but I know that it gives me a piece of mind because I know the baby is still there.
That's it for now, I just ate breakfast but the baby is wanting more. Gotta go!
This past weekend was pretty uneventful. But before I get to that, I went to the Naval Clinic on Wednesday to take their pregnancy test. They called me about two or three hours later to tell me that I was. At this point Bryan and I were at the vet getting Roxy's shots and ear mites taken care of. I made an appointment for Friday to talk to someone about referring me to an ob/gyn in New Bern.
When we got the Womens Clinic, the lady called Bryan and I into her office. Shed gave us a diaper bag filled with books and samples. She told us where I would go for my first appointment, where I would go for my following appointments and where I would be giving birth. I have to got to my first appointment in New Bern and the following appointments will be here in Havelock. There is about a months wait to get an appointment due to the fact that they are getting our overflow and their own patients. The Naval Clinic no longer takes ob/gyn patients. My first appointment is on April 2nd and at that point they will only be doing blood-work and paper-work. I probably won't get an appointment after that until probably late May or early June.
Well, this past weekend was pretty uneventful. On Friday, Bryan went to the Bible Study as he usually does. After he got home, we watched a movie, then went to bed. On Saturday we drove to Jacksonville, which is about forty-five minutes away, to go to the mall and grab something to eat. While at the mall, there were many shirts and pairs of jeans that I wanted that I couldn't get due to the fact that they won't be able to fit me pretty soon. Before I got pregnant, I was wanting to get a few more shirts and a couple of pairs of jeans because all of my old jeans are really big and fall off of me and I am kind of lacking in the shirt department. Now I have to wait until I am big enough for maternity clothes. Oh well, I am very excited to be pregnant.
Saturday while we were at the mall, Bryan got a call from one of his co-workers saying that all of the Marines from the shop were going to Outback for dinner and then to a bar called Sin City. Well Bryan ended up going that night to Outback. After he got there, they asked him where I was. He said that when he talked to the guy that called him, he thought that it was only the Marines from their shop and that family wasn't invited. He ended up calling me to see if I wanted to go. I said " No, I just ate, and I looked like crap!" I also didn't want to drive there by myself because I would probably have gotten lost.
Yesterday was very uneventful. I cleaned the house while Bryan was at work, then when he got home he called his mom, then we went to Wal-Mart for our friend Rachel to get dog food, cat litter, and diapers for her dog that just went into heat. She was having really bad back pain and probably wouldn't have been able to pick up the bags!
So, I have decided to blog today, seeing as how my hubby won't be home until 7:30 tomorrow morning! He had received a 24 hour post for today about 2 weeks ago. He has to be in the barracks that he was assigned to do post in until morning, although the Cpl who is with him on post let him come home for a couple of hours earlier. She told him that she was having him "Go to the gym for a couple of hours!" It was nice!
Before he came home and after he left, I was cleaning my dirty house. It wasn't that bad but the bathrooms were a mess and there was a ton of laundry to get done. I am so tired right now that I am having a movie marathon and just relaxing. I have been getting tired very easily because of this pregnancy. For instance I can't go up the stairs without getting short of breath...lol! Katrina told me that all of my energy will come back in the second trimester.
I worked out for the first time in awhile yesterday and took it a little easier than what I usually do. I have decided that something like Yoga or Pilates might be a little easier for me to do later on. It will be less tiring and it will still tone and work my muscles.
I am going to the Naval Clinic on Friday for a walk in pregnancy test. When the test comes back, they will probably set up the first appointment! I am really excited.
In other news, Roxy has a very big veterinary appointment tomorrow. She is getting her rabies shot, micro-chipped, getting her ears checked for mites, and getting registered. She doesn't like going the vets office very much, we could tell at her first appointment the day after we got her. I am so glad that Bryan gets to go with me because I don't think I could hold her down by myself. She is quit squirmy.
Well, that is it for now. I will update everyone later!
I know Chelsey...OMG...I cant' believe it either!
Anyway, as most everyone knows by now, that I found out today that I am prego. According to Katrina, I am about four weeks along. I am kind excited yet nervous at the same time! But I have plenty of people that will help me along the way!
Anywho...
Bryan is on days but he starts a new schedule where he will work Sunday through Wednesday. This means that I will have to get the nerve up to got to church by myself. This will be interesting!
I know this hasn't been a long post, but Bryan and I are getting ready to watch a movie.
Blog at ya later!
